This Tuesday, at Altice Arena, in Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, the second day of the Web Summit started very early. Around 9 o'clock, there were already many visitors, investors, and entrepreneurs who circulated between the pavilions where hundreds of company stands are located. Altogether, in this third Portuguese edition of the largest technology conference in Europe, more than 70 thousand visitors and about 20 thousand companies from all over the world are expected. Of these thousands of projects, 6 are Madeiran startups and JM did not miss the opportunity to get to know them.

Thomas Berndorfer and the start-up Connecting Software arrived in Madeira about a year ago and, according to him, the experience is very positive. After having been present at other events, the opportunity to participate in the Web Summit is one of the most important chapters for this project. “We are looking for strong partners. We already have a few hundred customers all over the world, but we are always looking for more and the best to have more people in the company and grow”, says the businessman. “Our dream is to bring people from all over Europe to Madeira until next year, to create a‘ brain tank ’, because smart people make more money and that’s good for Madeira,” he added.
