Connecting Software’s COO, Adam Maurer spoke to The Next Web about the potential effects of European AI legislation on the EU economy. Adam argued that AI has massive potential that has not been fully realized:

“In many ways, it’s too early to tell where the AI wave will take us — we’ve only seen a fraction of its capabilities so far, which is equal parts exciting and terrifying,”

Adam said that he could imagine AI making some jobs far more valuable, as positions that are able to utilize the advanced capabilities of AI systems would become much more productive.

He cautioned against the EU taking an overly aggressive stance on AI regulation – too much intervention against job displacement might discourage new innovation in the bloc, and may stop companies from relocating there.
