Truth Enforcer uses blockchain technology to create a unique digital fingerprint (hash) for each document and stores it in an immutable ledger. This means you have a record of the document’s content state at a specific time. This whole process of recording and storing is enabled with Port of Trust in the background and the verification ability with Truth Verifier at the forefront for you and others.

The infrastructure that facilitates this workflow is the public blockchain. The ledger it contains is comprised of blocks of data, each uniquely identified by a digital fingerprint. Any tampering is detected because it immediately changes the initial fingerprint. Thus, guaranteeing traceability that is tamper-resistant and immutable.

Notably, the content of the document never leaves your possession nor is accessed in this process since the created fingerprint represents the state of the content, not the content itself.

Blockchain is composed of blocks that have transactional data, metadata, and cryptographic hashes (digital fingerprints). Each block contains its own hash and the hash of the previous block. This is what creates a chain of interconnected blocks. Any changes, minor or otherwise, result in a completely different hash that is easily detected.
