QA Team Lead (Hands-on) - Quality Engineering
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on QA Team Lead or a Senior QA professional to run and improve QA across multiple products. This role is for someone who enjoys combining day-to-day delivery with improving processes, automation, and quality visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and execute testing to ensure release readiness across products.
- Strategic Automation: Grow high-signal test automation focused on critical user flows and ROI.
- Optimize the Process: Identify bottlenecks to reduce "lead time to test" and keep quality gates practical and consistent.
- Track Performance: Report on key metrics to provide clear visibility to stakeholders.
- Bridge Support & Engineering: Coordinate QA involvement in L1/L2 support - triage, reproduction, and feeding root-cause findings back to the backlog.
- Mentor & Set Standards: Coach the team, perform code reviews for tests, and promote a strong quality culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Technical Background: Solid experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Leadership Mindset: Either a formal Lead or a Senior QA who has experience owning areas and mentoring others.
- Reliability Focused: Proven ability to build stable automated suites and avoid "flaky" tests.
- Tooling: Comfortable with CI/CD and modern QA tooling (Azure DevOps is a plus).
- Effective Communicator: Able to work closely with Engineering and Product to align on priorities.
Nice to have
- Playwright, .NET/C#, Azure DevOps.
- Experience with enterprise ecosystems (Salesforce, Microsoft D365/SharePoint/Exchange, Google Workspace).
Success Looks Like
- Reliable automation you build leads to a clear, measurable reduction in manual regression testing.
- Release cycles become faster and more predictable.
- A seamless feedback loop exists between Support, QA, and Development.
Why Join Us
At Connecting Software, you’re not just taking a job – you’re joining a friendly, international team that genuinely enjoys building things together.
International environment, human size
We’re a global company with colleagues and customers in different countries, but we keep a flat structure and short decision lines. You’ll work closely with management (including the CFO) and other teams, not hidden behind layers of hierarchy.

Friendly and Flexible
This role is mainly office-based, so you can be close to the team. We believe this makes collaboration, learning, and decision-making faster and more effective. At the same time, we understand life happens, so occasional work from home is possible when needed and agreed in advance.
Stable company, longterm mindset
We’ve been in the market for many years, with our own solutions and a base of recurring customers. We invest in longterm relationships – with clients and with our people.
Team spirit and respect
We value openness, honesty, and mutual respect. We work together, celebrate wins together, and support each other when things get busy. Your voice matters here.

Company gatherings & team spirit
Several times a year, we bring people together for company gatherings and team events. These are moments to connect in person, share ideas, align on our vision, and simply enjoy spending time together. They help us strengthen trust, collaboration, and a real sense of belonging across countries and departments.

Learning and growth
You’ll be exposed to international accounting topics, IT/tech business models, and modern tools. We encourage continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and taking on new responsibilities as you grow.
