For Connecting Software, it is great that we are able to work from an island in the middle of the Atlantic and reach customers worldwide - governments in, for example, Canada, New Zealand and the UK and global companies like Disney, Securitas or Otis.

In 2021, to keep this global reach, trust will be our keyword and our challenge. Connecting Software works on a niche B2B area – producing synchronization and integration software - but, still, the challenges we face in terms of trust are common to the ones other companies in Madeira face when working remotely. It isn't easy to project trust when you never meet your customer in person.

We need to make the human feel come through. At Connecting Software, we always show we are real people who keep in touch and who are behind our software products. We use our pictures as much as we can. When reaching out from a distance, we always prefer video calls, which make things more personal than a phone call or an e-mail.

In the end, being a software company has its pluses, as you can develop the tools that address these challenges you face.
